Our Burnay pots are traditionally crafted in a very remote corner of the Philippines using wood fired kilns. The designs you see have been in use in the Philippines since before the arrival of the Spanish. The burnt brown/black colour is the natural shade of the local clay when it is fired to a very high temperature.
